This book is the product of several years of experience in teaching the course of Electronics for Embedded Systems. The book covers both analog and digital aspects of the design of embedded systems. After a very brief introduction, three chapters are devoted to the digital domain, describing memories, programmable logic devices and processor peripherals. The last two chapters are dedicated to the analog domain, with analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversions and power management. Several examples are used to point out the main differences among the various solutions, as well as their strength and weaknesses.
